Man is critically injured after being shot by police in Denmark

Harrowing footage shows an alleged knifeman moments before he was shot and left critically wounded after reportedly attacking police in Denmark.

The 24-year-old man was shot after he lunged at a patrol officer with a knife near a bus on Karen Blixen’s Boulevard in Brabrand, a suburb of Aarhus, at around 1pm on Monday, police said.

He remains in a critical condition. It was not immediately clear how many times the man was shot.

The night before the incident, the man had visited the Grimhoj Mosque for the first time, according to Danish news reports.
