A man was kicked off a Sydney train on Wednesday afternoon after he allegedly smoked marijuana in front of passengers.

The man was filmed by a passer-by sitting in a train carriage with a female friend when he was approached by two Rail Corp employees.

‘How would you and your friend like to leave out train sir – voluntarily?’ one of the employees said sternly.

The man, who appeared confused, began mumbling incoherently.

‘I’m inviting you to leave,’ the employee says again loudly.

When the man asks why, the employee says: ‘Because that thing in your hand, you’re not allowed to even have it on the train, not even on the platforms.’

The passenger told the Rail Corp staff he would ‘just put it away’ but was ordered to get off at Central Station as the train came to a stop.

His female friend begins to walk toward the door as the man slowly rises to gather his belongings and leave.
