Man placed under citizen’s arrest by Logan Paul jailed

The 20-year-old intruder who was placed under citizen’s arrest by disgraced vlogger Logan Paul has been sentenced to 30 days in jail.

The man, who has not been identified, struck a plea deal when he appeared in court on Thursday and entered a no contest plea for aggravated trespass, according to TMZ.

He was sentenced to 30 days behind bars and 24 months probation, the L.A. City Attorney’s Office told TMZ. He was also ordered to stay away from Paul’s block.

Paul, 22, performed the arrest after returning to his San Fernando Valley home at around 10pm Tuesday, where he discovered the man sitting on his couch charging his phone.

Police were notified and the man was booked for criminal trespass.

The man had reportedly wanted to meet the YouTube star, law enforcement told the website.

Several people were upstairs at the time the intruder entered the home through an unlocked front door.

However, the individuals inside the property thought they had heard Paul entering the residence.

Paul has taken a three week hiatus after being universally slammed for picturing a suicide victim and laughing as they hung from a tree in Japan last year.

On December 31, he uploading footage of the victim hanging from a tree in a forest.

Paul and his friends had gone to spend the night in the forest and giggled as they told viewers that it was ‘haunted’ by the souls of the thousands who take their lives there.

They came across the man by accident but continued rolling and zoomed in on his dead body as Paul shouted: ‘Are you f****** with us bro?’ before calling police.

He was widely condemned and took the footage down not long after it was posted, later posting a grovelling Twitter apology before signing off.

After a three-week hiatus, he returned to the spotlight at the end of January to donate $1million to suicide prevention charities and appeared in a video with suicide survivors who he interviewed to try to educate himself on the issue

He dedicated his first video back to suicide prevention and pledged $1million to charities which support the issue.

But on Friday, YouTube suspended ads on his channels citing the troubled star’s ‘recent pattern of behavior’.

The decision from YouTube came just days after he tweeted Monday that he would swallow a Tide Pod for every retweet. That same day he tasered two dead rats and removed a live fish from water and ‘performed CPR’ on it.

‘In response to Logan Paul’s recent pattern of behaviour,’ YouTube tweeted on Friday, ‘we’ve temporarily suspended ads on his channels.’

A spokeswoman said: ‘This is not a decision we made lightly, however, we believe he has exhibited a pattern of behaviour in his videos that makes his channel not only unsuitable for advertisers, but also potentially damaging to the broader creator community.’

According to the website Social Blade, which estimates influencers’ earnings from their online statistics, Paul may have earned at least $43,000 from ad revenue on YouTube in the last month alone, despite taking the break.
