The offender then allegedly accelerated and rammed the owner of the ute, and he found himself stuck on the bonnet.

He was then thrown from the vehicle and landed on the ground.

A witness to the incident was nearly run over as the ute sped off.

The vehicle pulled out onto Logan River Road before doing a quick U-turn in the thick of traffic.

It then lost control and spun out.

The Holden Rodeo was later found nearby in Waterford West, close to a burnt out Ford Festiva which police believe the offender arrived at the address in.
