A heartbroken New Zealand father-of-two has shared the gory details of his relationship breakdown to social media.
The man, who shared his ordeal to a Facebook group anonymously, said his partner of 10 years had cheated on him with a man she went to CrossFit with.
He had originally trained with his partner until the pair had a fight and he decided to leave the gym to give her some space.
But while he had been taking part in the grueling fitness program for its health benefits though, he soon discovered his partner had been going for other reasons.

I saw it play out in front of me,’ he wrote.
‘I asked her about it. She played it off. Said they were only friends. Saw them getting closer. Asked some of the other members. They said I was being paranoid.’
Soon, the man said his partner’s behaviour began to change. She became more secretive and protective of her phone.
‘It got to a point where she was sleeping with her phone,’ he said. ‘All of sudden she had a password on it,’ he wrote.
‘I grabbed her phone once at training and she got angry with me.’
The man discovered the betrayal after his partner left her phone open while she slept, with the last message reading: ‘It was nice seeing you for lunch. Thanks for the kiss. Hope for more next time’ (mock-up image)
Despite questioning her multiple times, the man says his partner always denied the affair, even when he caught her red handed.
After she began receiving text messages late at night, the man’s suspicions grew.
‘One night I fell asleep. I woke up and she had left her phone unlocked on messages,’ he wrote.
‘Looked over and she was texting one of the boys from CrossFit.
‘Said it was nice seeing you for lunch. Thanks for the kiss. Hope for more next time.’

When she woke up and the man asked her about the messages, she again denied it and told him off for using her phone.
‘We went through a week where I didn’t know what was happening. I loved her so much and I forgave her. Told her I still want to be with her,’ he wrote.
For the next four weeks, the couple were separated, and the man stayed with the couple’s two daughters while they began to sort out custody agreements.
‘My heart still wants her back. But she’s not the same woman I fell in love with,’ he wrote.
‘Ten years down the drain. Memories are all I have.’
