A man has been trolled after trying to sell a giant desk lamp online for $800, with some comparing the extravagant accessory to the Pixar mascot.

The would-be seller described the lamp as a Jac Jacobsen designer lamp, stands at 2.2metres tall at its shortest setting and set him back $4500.

‘The pictures don’t do it justice. Ideally needs somewhere spacious with ceilings at least 2.5m tall,’ he said.

‘Selling as we sadly don’t have room for it anymore.’

The post appeared to generate a lot of interest online, but from trolls rather than genuine buyers.

‘Did you climb Jack’s beanstalk and bring that back,’ one woman asked.

While another said the lamp looks like it is from a Pixar horror film.
