Everton manager David Moyes is plotting a move for Ipswich striker Liam Delap as part of a broader summer rebuild — and he’s prepared to bide his time to land the 22-year-old frontman.

With funds earmarked for attacking reinforcements, Delap has emerged as a prime target for Moyes ahead of the summer transfer window, according to The Sun.

The highly-rated forward, who has found the net 12 times in the Premier League this season, is available for £30million due to a release clause in his contract.

However, several other Premier League sides including the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea are monitoring the situation with Delap.

Nevertheless, Everton see Delap as a realistic and ideal fit, both financially and in terms of his development potential.

Everton have struggled for consistent goalscoring, largely depending on Beto, while injuries and contract uncertainty continue to cloud Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s future.

Moyes is eager to inject youth and pace into his frontline, with 19-year-old Liverpool talent Ben Doak also under consideration.

With Everton preparing for their long-awaited move into a state-of-the-art £800 million stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, Moyes has taken an active role in recruitment.

He’s personally evaluated Burnley centre-back Maxime Esteve, while scouts have been dispatched to track Sunderland starlet Chris Rigg.

Departures are expected as part of the squad shake-up, but the Toffees are also planning key additions ahead of the stadium switch.

One player who could be heading out is Harrison Armstrong. The 18-year-old midfielder has impressed while on loan at Derby County and is attracting interest from Blackburn Rovers.

Blackburn had initially shown interest in Armstrong before Derby secured his services. Now, with a focus on developing younger talent, Rovers are keen to revisit the deal as they search for affordable prospects for next season.

Ironically, their former manager John Eustace had been targeting more seasoned players, but the strategy has since shifted toward youth.
