Man United suffer another blow as influential midfielder Casemiro is ruled OUT for ‘several weeks’ after injuring his hamstring during their Carabao Cup loss to Newcastle

Manchester United’s injury issues continue to mount up as they have confirmed that Casemiro will be out of action for a number of weeks. 

The influential Brazilian midfielder suffered a hamstring injury during United’s 3-0 Carabao Cup defeat to Newcastle on Wednesday night.

He was withdrawn at half-time from the clash at Old Trafford due to the issue, and and United fans held their breath as they hoped for positive news from his subsequent assessment.

However, United have revealed that a strain will keep him out for ‘several weeks’.

It is the latest blow for Erik ten Hag, with pressure mounting on the Dutchman whose side have lost eight of their opening 15 games this season.
