A Sydney man who was left ‘trapped’ in sagging excess skin after a staggering weightloss transformation has opened up about the surgery that changed his life.
Daniel Trajkovski, 28, went from 175 kilos to 91 kilos through diet and exercise, during an impressive fitness journey.
But the IT specialist didn’t feel comfortable taking his shirt off – until he had surgery to remove his sagging ‘man boobs’ and lift his body.
Daniel Trajkovski, 28,managed to lose an incredible 84 kilos and had surgery to remove his excess saggy skin (left before and right after surgery)
Daniel (pictured) appeared on the program This Time Next Year and pledged that he would take his shirt off in front of people
‘It doesn’t matter how much more weight I lost, the skin would just become more visible,’ Daniel, who recently appeared on the hit TV show This Time Next Year, said in a video about his journey.
‘The problem is you’re thinking you’re going to be normal after the weightloss, and hitting that weightloss your’re not normal’.
The man who removed his sagging skin, plastic surgeon Dr Jeremy Hunt, said that whilst he’d done an ‘amazing job’ losing weight, he had been left a ‘young, fit man trapped in excess skin’.
Daniel told the public that he managed to get to the 175 kilos that he once was was due to his inactive lifestyle
Almost reduced to tears in the video Daniel said that the surgeries have ‘made a world of a difference’
When asked why go through all that pain Daniel said: ‘I’ve set a goal and I really want to hit that goal’
‘The goal is really to unlock the person from the skin they’re trapped within,’ he said of the surgery he performed.
‘He had so much extra skin he couldn’t play sport, he couldn’t take his shirt off at the beach.’
Dr Hunt said that Daniel had undergone a procedure to correct his ‘man boobs’ and lift the bottom half of his body.
On the show he pledged that he would take his shirt off in front of people, which was something he had always wanted to do
Daniel shared his story on Karl Stefanovic’s program This Time Next Year
Through male chest surgery Daniel’s nipple was moved approximately eight centimetres and back onto his pec.
‘I feel amazing. It’s more than what I expected,’ Daniel said of his new body. ‘I can take my shirt off now.
‘I look at myself after the surgery and it’s way above what I expected.
‘It’s just that feeling of being able to go outside and fit in, you don’t have to put on a singlet or hide or do whatever it is you’ve got to do,’ he said
‘That feeling when you know now you can go outside and fit in. You don’t have to put on a singlet or hide, you’re just normal.’
Speaking previously about his ordeal on This Time Next Year, Daniel told host Karl Stefanovic that taking his shirt off in front of people was something he’d always wanted to do.
‘Normal people take their shirt off and have slim fitting outfits and I wanted to be normal,’ Daniel said on the program.
The moment that made him to decide to lose weight was when he couldn’t fit the largest top in a store
Daniel told the public that his inactive lifestyle had contributed to his once-175-kilo frame.
‘I played computer games, I didn’t really walk to school and wasn’t active and it got out of control,’ he said.
He revealed that he was spurred on to lose weight as an ex-girlfriend’s 21st birthday approached.

Daniel explained that there was a shirt she wanted him to wear but the largest size it came in, a 4XL, didn’t fit him.
Following this he conducted research about the body and came up with his own regime.
‘Now I feel good for myself, I can tick it off and say I did it,’ Daniel said, as he proudly showed his new figure off on the show.
