Manchester City assistant coach Enzo Maresca’s father has been FOUND alive and well after he sparked panic by going missing for several hours in Istanbul following Champions League final

  • Man City coach Enzo Maresca’s father ‘had been reported missing’ in Istanbul 
  • But reports now say he has been found in great relief after several hours 
  • It comes after Manchester City won the Champions League final on Saturday

The father of Manchester City assistant manager Enzo Maresca, Pasquale, has been found after he was reported missing following the English side’s win in the Champions League final last night. 

After defeating Inter Milan 1-0, City fans, players and staff have been celebrating the win in Istanbul, but according to reports from Corriere dello Sport his father had worryingly disappeared. 

Turkish police were informed and had been working to find Mr Maresca, but has since been found and according to Gazetta Dello Sport ‘is well’ following the scare.

Maresca, who is, according to the Scottish Sun, being linked with the vacant Celtic managerial position, has been working as Pep Guardiola’s assistant manager since July last season, having also worked as the assistant head coach at West Ham under Manuel Pellegrini and David Moyes. 

City clinched the historic treble last night at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium, with Rodri scoring the only goal of the game, and celebrations have continued into the night following the match.

His father had, according to Gazetta, flown into Istanbul in the days prior to the final to watch the match. 

Currently there are no details on how he disappeared after he was in attendance for the match. 

Gazetta reported that it was ‘a worrying period of time after traces of Mr Maresca had been lost’.
