Manchester United agree to let out-of-favour defender Marcos Rojo join Estudiantes on loan until the summer
Manchester United have agreed to allow defender Marcos Rojo to join Estudiantes on loan.
The 29-year old has been given permission to leave the club on Wednesday and return to Argentina until the summer.
He has been convinced by Estudiantes chairman and former United midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron that he can revive his career there and claim his place back in the national side ahead of this summer’s Copa America.

Rojo has been with United since joining from Sporting Lisbon in 2014 but his combative style has often led to injuries which have hindered his progress in recent seasons.
He saw a move to Everton fall through on deadline day in August and has watched predominantly from the sidelines as United laboured through the season.
He was reluctant to return to Sporting as part of a deal for Bruno Fernandes, indeed his wages ensured that was not financially viable, but is eager to return to Argentina where he believes he can rebuild his reputation.
Fernandes meanwhile is due to land at around midday today ahead of his medical and signing for United.
