Sofyan Amrabat has poured doubts over a move to Manchester United this summer.

United are expected to lodge an official bid for the Fiorentina midfielder once they have wrapped up a deal to bring Rasmus Hojlund to Old Trafford for £72million.

However, Amrabat insisted he could remain with the Italian side next season and admitted he ‘doesn’t know if he is leaving’.

The Morocco international was asked about his future following Fiorentina’s 4-0 triumph over Serie D side Grosseto in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday.

And he remained coy with his answer as he said:’I don’t know if I’m leaving… maybe I can stay here at Fiorentina,’.

He later added: ‘I don’t know, I could remain.’

The Red Devils are yet to lodge an opening offer for Amrabat and will need to move on a few players first.

Donny van de Beek, Fred and Brandon Williams have all be deemed surplus to requirements and are attracting interest from other clubs.

United recently opened talks with Real Sociedad over the possible sale of Van de Beek while they are expecting an improved offer from Galatasaray for Fred after turning down an undisclosed bid from the Turkish side last month.

Leeds United are also considering whether to make a offer for Brandon Williams as they look to fire themselves back up into the Premier League.
