Leeds are reportedly interested in pursuing a loan deal for Manchester United winger Amad Diallo following his successful spell at Sunderland last season.
Diallo impressed in the north east for the Black Cats during a season-long loan, contributing 13 goals and three assists as the club reached the Championship play-offs where they lost to Luton.
He returned to Man United with a full season of senior English football experience and has caught the interest of Leeds as they pursue low-cost options.
The club’s relegation from the Premier League means a host of star players are set for departures from Elland Road and leaving Leeds with holes to fill in their squad.
Italy international Willy Gnonto is being eyed up for a potential move to Man City, Arsenal or Serie A side Roma, while Jack Harrison is also expected to move elsewhere.

Leeds are considering all options available, but feel the United prodigy would be an ideal replacement to help lead their attack next season, according to the Mirror.
The emergence of Alejandro Garnacho at Old Trafford has seen Diallo drop even further down the pecking order within Erik ten Hag’s team.
Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Facundo Pellistri are already competing for starting berths on the wings with Diallo expected to be behind each of those.
The 20-year-old has returned to the Red Devils ahead of the club’s pre-season tour that takes them around the world where Ten Hag will be given a chance to assess all of his options ahead of next season.
Diallo will be given a chance to showcase he is ready for the challenges of the Premier League, however may be forced out the door on another loan deal to gain more regular experience.
Unfortunately for Leeds, it has been reported that Diallo’s preference would be a return to Sunderland where he previously excelled as part of Tony Mowbray’s team.
The heated rivalry between United and Leeds could also make any possible deal for the Ivory Coast star more complicated.
