Mandy Moore showed her support for the historic joint SAG-AFTRA/WGA strike by joining the picket line herself in Los Angeles.

The This Is Us star proudly posted a picture on her Instagram, captioning it with, ‘Day 1.’

‘Proud to stand with my fellow SAG-AFTRA and WGA members demanding a fair contract,’ the New Hampshire-born beauty added.

She went makeup free for the outing, wearing her long brown hair loose around her shoulders.

Mandy wore a sensible outfit for the occasion, pairing a white t-shirt and white pants with a green bucket hat to protect her from the sun.

While the brunette beauty initially rose to fame as a teen singer in the 90s, Mandy quickly proved that she was a versatile actress as well.

After popular supporting roles in films like The Princess Diaries and Dr. Doolittle 2, the In My Pocket singer scored her first leading film role in A Walk To Remember.

While she continued to release new music, Mandy found further acting fame with a variety of varied roles across the years.

However, she really catapulted back into the public eye as an actress when she voiced Rapunzel in the hit Disney animated film Tangled.

After that, Mandy found critical acclaim with her role as the Pearson family matriarch in This Is Us on NBC.

She was nominated for Golden Globe for her take on Rebecca Pearson, as well as a Primetime Emmy.

While she didn’t win the awards the respective years she was nominated, the versatile star gained a family with her This Is Us cast.

She joined her fellow cast-mates Chrissy Metz and Jon Huertas on the picket line, where they proudly marched with other union members.

Defending her fellow union members against critics claiming that actors were spoiled and didn’t need to be on strike, Mandy reposted a Twitter thread that showed that SAG-AFTRA members only get health insurance if they make 26K or more annually.

‘Context for the ‘spoiled actors’ crowd,’ the caption on the Twitter thread said.

Mandy’s repost also mentioned that 87% of SAG-AFTRA union members didn’t make enough in a year to earn health insurance.

The historic strike marks the first time in 63 years that writers and actors have gone on strike at the same time.

With the combined unions on strike simultaneously, countless film and television productions are reportedly set to shut down until negotiations are made.
