Manhunt after two murdered at Grambling State University

Authorities are searching for an individual who opened fire on two men last night at a Louisiana college, killing them both.

Earl Warren and Monquiarius Caldwell, both 23, were murdered outside J.D.E Bowen Hall at Grambling State University around midnight.

The two young men were both from nearby Farmerville, and Andrews was a senior at the college.

Warren had posted a video on his Facebook page just hours before the shooting of a Full Conceal glock that folded down to be smaller than a phone.

Louisiana residents are allowed to carry concealed weapons with a permit.

Students were initially told to remain inside their residences overnight, but that had changed by morning when the GSU Twitter account posted: ‘Grambling State University offices are open with normal business hours and students are expected to attend classes as scheduled.’

Will Sutton, a spokesperson for GSU, said that it is believed that the shooter was a male and could not say whether or not the student was still on the campus.

The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Department is now trying to piece together just what caused the fatal shooting, and who is responsible for taking the lives of the two victims.

It was a female who called authorities after the two were shot around midnight.

Her identity is not being revealed at this time.

KSLA 12 was on the scene in the early hours of Wednesday, where police could be seen going about their work with no signs of any students or bystanders near the scene of the double homicide.

Friends and family meanwhile have been posting messages about the deceased on social media.

‘Y’all kept it G wimme and kept your promise when y’all said y’all wasn’t gone let NOBODY fwm. Y’all forever in my heart.’

Peyton Andrews, who was the victim’s cousin, wrote on Facebook: ‘God gained two angels today.  R.I.P Earl and Boodie . God makes no mistakes , y’all truly going to be missed  – lost of words hard to believe.’

Sutton urged anyone with information to call authorities, saying; ‘Any little thing can lead to something big.’
