Police are searching for Jacob Gonzales, 34 (pictured), after he was named a person of interest in the death of Katherine Cunningham, 26, on Camano Island in Washington State
Police are on a manhunt after a woman was found decapitated near a hillside bunker in northwest Washington State.
Katherine Cunningham, 26, was found dead on Saturday around 2.30pm on Camano Island, a rural island north of Seattle, on an undeveloped property.
Investigators are now searching for person of interest Jacob Gonzales, a 34-year-old man believed to be driving a green 1990 Mitsubishi Montero with Washington license plate AYE2639.
He is described as a Hispanic man standing at 5’9″ who weighs 150 pounds and has black hair with hazel eyes.
Deputies think he may be heading to central or southern California and consider him armed and dangerous.
Gonzales’s relationship to Cunningham or the woman’s death was not described by police.
‘We’re working on that,’ Island County Sheriff Mark Brown said, according to The Daily Herald. ‘We’re asking for leads.’

Investigators obtained warrants to search the property and found a hillside bunker (pictured) containing ‘a cache of supplies, firearms and ammunition’, which were seized by deputies
Brown declined to provided further details on the case.
The Island County Coroner’s Office performed an autopsy on Tuesday and confirmed Cunningham was a victim of homicidal violence with decapitation.
