Police are hunting three men after an abduction on the Gold Coast in the early hours of Friday morning.

A male nurse was standing outside Pindara Private Hospital in Benowa at around 3.30am on Friday when he was assaulted by a number of men wearing balaclavas and armed with knives and a handgun.

The 25-year-old was allegedly forced into the boot of his own vehicle and driven to an ATM at Parklands Drive at Parkwood.

The victim was then forced back into the boot his car – which the assailants reportedly tried to push down a hill, but it crashed into a fence in Ashmore at around 4.20am.

The attackers fled the scene and the victim was found in the boot by neighbours.

He was taken to hospital with injuries that aren’t life-threatening.
