Customer spots something VERY unusual about a coffee shop in his neighbourhood: ‘Do you guys see what I see?’

Customers have been left baffled by a ‘coffee shop’ after a small sign on the window informed them no coffee was actually sold there.
Tyson, a dad from Adelaide, visited the nearby Manna Coffee Shop only to be let down after finding out the small café wasn’t serving any brews.
‘Today I saw this place and specifically pulled over to get a coffee from it,’ he wrote alongside a photo of the establishment.
After a closer inspection he noticed a sign on the glass storefront that read ‘Sorry, we do not sell coffee here’.
The store is in an Asian fusion restaurant serving authentic home-cooked Asian and Western dishes ‘made with love’.

After sharing an image of the storefront on Facebook, others were also left scratching their heads at first over the signage.
‘Maybe they mean bulk coffee?’ one asked.
‘I’m guessing they bought the shop haven’t got round to removing sign writing yet?’ another pondered.
Once Tyson clarified what the business sells, many were frustrated by the ‘false advertising’.
‘Then why are they a coffee shop if they don’t sell coffee!?’ one wrote.
‘Then just call it an Internet Cafe,’ another suggested, a third added: ‘Yeah Adelaide is a funny place.’

In the comments Tyson added: ‘It’s no big deal. It’s just a funny situation. Just one of those quirky things in life to laugh about.
‘At the moment they probably can’t afford to have the ‘Coffee Shop’ part of the sign removed,’ he wrote.
‘Many small businesses in Australia are seriously struggling at the moment due to the cost of living (inflation), mortgage interest rates, and unaffordable rents.
‘No one’s really at a loss for stopping for a few minutes and finding out they don’t serve coffee then heading off to find a place that does serve coffee. It’s just a slight insignificant inconvenience.’
However, there’s a perfectly good explanation about the origin of the cafe’s name – and why it hasn’t been changed.
Business co-founder Karen told FEMAIL the logic behind having ‘coffee shop’ in the name taps into traditional Singapore culture, as Singapore coffee shops sell both food and coffee.
And Manna Coffee Shop did initially offer coffee to customers, but with several Italian cafes in the same vicinity, profits were low.
‘I admit we don’t make the best coffee – customers would complain it’s too watery – and when we were selling it we only sold three or four cups a day, so it wasn’t worth the cost,’ she said.
The shop itself is tiny and can only seat less than 15 people, so ideally the brand would prefer customers dining in for food rather than just coffee.
Karen co-founded the business seven years ago and haven’t sold coffee for years, and are aware of the complains, but are unable to remove the words ‘coffee shop’ for legal reasons.
‘Manna’ is already in use, as well as other alternatives such as ‘Manna Kitchen’, leaving the business with few options to choose from.
‘We’ve been around for years and people know our business name, so we don’t want to change it completely,’ Karen said.
‘We’re known for our food made with love and enjoy what we do.’
