He’s set to appear on the upcoming season of SAS Australia, and Manu Feildel certainly won’t be spared any hardship.
In an explosive new teaser trailer for the hit Channel Seven show, the 47-year-old celebrity chef is seen being put to the test in a variety of gruelling exercises.
‘I’ve been a chef for 35 years and it’s very similar to the army,’ he said, adding, ‘Running kitchens is a stressful environment.’

He’s also seen running and struggling under the weight of a sandbag, which he was forced to lift above his head.
Another scene saw Manu squinting in agony after being teargassed, before reluctantly jumping out of a helicopter.

‘I do believe that I’ve got what it takes to succeed,’ he said, adding, ‘I want to prove to my kids anything’s possible.’
After confessing he’s afraid of heights, Manu was shown navigating a beam, which had been suspended just below a bridge.
In one confronting scene, the former My Kitchen Rules judge broke down in tears during an interrogation with the show’s intense directing staff.

Manu spoke about his experience on SAS Australia during an interview with WSFM’s Jonesy & Amanda back in May.
‘It’s very difficult to describe. I think it’s just not a TV show at all… It’s the hardest thing I could have ever done in my life,’ he confessed.
While an official air date is yet to be announced, the upcoming season of SAS Australia will commence sometime in September.
