Marcelo Brozovic was involved in a heated spat with his teammate, former Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte before Al-Nassr’s Asian Champions League clash on Wednesday.

The Croatian was caught by cameras saying something to the Laporte, with another teammate Ali Lajami playing peacemaker by shoving the midfielder away.

Brozovic then turned back, forcing a member of staff to come between himself and Lajami to stop emotions boiling over.

The former Inter Milan star joined the Saudi club last summer, alongside Laporte, who departed the Etihad following their treble success.

Al-Nassr were looking to progress to the quarter-finals against Al-Fayha, also of the Saudi Pro League.

The Cristiano Ronaldo-led roster came into the tie with a one-goal advantage and secured save passage thanks to goals from the Portuguese forward and countryman Otavio.

Seven points adrift of Saudi Pro League leaders Al-Hilal, the Champions league provides the chance for much-needed silverware, and would qualify them for the Club World Cup.
