Jack Golhke can’t seem to miss at the moment as Oakland’s red-hot March Madness star continues his fine form in practice, nailing an incredible full court shot, sparking a wild celebration from his teammates.

The 24-year-old Golden Grizzlies guard, who had 32 points in 36 minutes to pull off a thrilling first-round upset against NCAA Tournament favorites Kentucky on Thursday, attempted a one-handed shot from far out before the team’s second-round matchup against North Carolina State this weekend.

He managed to get the bucket without the basketball even touching the back board.

Golhke’s hot streak started when he made 10 3-pointers and scored a career-high 32 points against the third-seeded Wildcats, with 14th-seeded Oakland marching on in its attempt to make a deep run in this month’s tournament.

‘We’ve been a solid team all year,’ said the sixth-year-senior, who arrived at Oakland last fall after graduating from Hillsdale College. ‘We’ve won close games all year.’

The shot didn't even bank off the back board

Gohlke, 24, had 32 points in 36 minutes against NCAA Tournament favorites Kentucky, Thurs.

By knocking down as many attempts from behind the arc against Kentucky, Gohlke became the fifth player in NCAA Tournament history to make double-digit 3s in a game.

Trey Townsend added 17 points and 12 rebounds after he posted up and made a turnaround jumper over 7-footer Ugonna Onyenso in the final minutes.

One question for Saturday’s game against the Wolfpack (23-14) is how the Golden Grizzlies (24-11) will match up against NC State’s DJ Burns Jr., all 6-ft-9, 275 pounds of him.

Burns has been on a heater for NC State, which won five games in five days to storm through the ACC tournament before beating No. 6 Texas Tech 80-67 on Thursday.

Burns has shot 24-of-34 for 55 points over his past three games.
