Marcus Rashford looks glum as he is spotted leaving Man United training in chauffeur-driven £200k Bentley for first time since bombshell interview revealing he wants to move

Marcus Rashford has been spotted leaving Manchester United’s training complex for the first time since he was dropped by Ruben Amorim.

After leaving Carrington on Sunday the England international could be seen wearing a Nike-branded hat, whilst sitting in the backseat of a chauffeur-driven Bentley Flying Spur Azure.

Rashford is currently serving a six-month ban from driving after being caught exceeding the speed limit on the M60 last year in a Rolls-Royce.

After a dismal campaign under Erik ten Hag last season, the arrival of Ruben Amorim appeared to offer the 27-year-old the chance of a new lease of life at Old Trafford.

In Amorim’s first Premier League game at the club Rashford netted an early goal in a draw with Ipswich before and followed that up with a brace in a dominant 4-0 win over Everton last month.

Since then however, Rashford has found his game time increasingly limited and was dropped to the bench for league defeats against Arsenal and Nottingham Forest.

Rashford has been left out of United’s last three Premier League matchday squads by Ruben Amorim

The following game saw Rashford dropped entirely for a derby clash with Manchester City and he has yet to be named in a matchday squad by Amorim since.

The news comes amidst growing links that Rashford will look to depart his boyhood club after spending his entire career thus far at Old Trafford.

Rashford only further added to speculation that he is intent on seeking pastures new by claiming he is ‘ready for a new challenge’ in a bombshell interview earlier this month.

In a lengthy exchange with journalist Henry Winter he said: ‘For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps.

‘When I leave it’s going to be “no hard feelings”. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person.

‘If I know that a situation is already bad I’m not going to make it worse. I’ve seen how other players have left in the past and I don’t want to be that person. When I leave I’ll make a statement and it will be from me.’

Speaking earlier this month Amorim questioned the ‘choices’ of people in Rashford’s entourage.

‘It is a hard situation,’ said Amorim.   

‘I understand that these players have a lot of people around them, and they sometimes make choices that are not the first idea from the player. I understand, I can separate things.

‘I am always here to help Marcus, as any other player. They have to do what they have to do. They chose to do the interview because it’s not just Marcus. I understand that.’

Thursday’s loss against strugglers Wolves condemned United to their eighth Premier League defeat of the season.

With just 22 points from their opening 18 games, the 20-time top flight champions sit closer to the relegation zone than they do the top four.

United return to action on Monday night when they play host to Eddie Howe’s Newcastle.
