Margaret Qualley was among the many high-profile guests on hand to lend their support for the Diner de la Mode benefit in support of AIDS charity Sidaction.
The 20th annual event was again held at the grand marble-columned Pavillon Cambon Capucines, which just down the street from the Chanel headquarters, in Paris, France after relocating to the location a few years ago, according to Vogue.
Just one of the many gatherings as part of Paris Fashion Week, Qualley (born Sarah Margaret Qualley) was the picture of elegance when she hit the red carpet in a lovely white gown with a plant pattern from top to bottom.
By adding some waves and curls to her shoulder-length dark brown tresses, The Leftovers star had a striking resemblance to her mother, actress Andie MacDowell.
Founded in 1994, Sidaction helps raise awareness and help collet charitable funds for AIDS. The organization then donates money collected to various AIDS charities, HIV/AIDS research, institutions specializing in medical care and social aid for those living with HIV/AIDS in France and internationally, according to the organization’s website.
Making a difference: Margaret Qualley, 28, was among the high-profile people to lend their support for the 20th Diner de la Mode benefit in support of AIDS charity Sidaction
Qualley, now 28, added some waves and curls to her dark tresses, which only made her resemblance to her mother even more obvious
The fashionable number hugged her lean figure in the upper portion, while falling off her her body a little more loosely from the waist on down to her feet.
By going with a sleeveless design, the Montana native, who grew up largely in Asheville, North Carolina, opted to give more than a hint of skin.
For a subtle touch of contrast, the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood star wore a rich red lipstick, to go along with her dark locks and white ensemble.
Qualley’s father is rancher and former model Paul Qualley. He met MacDowell while on the set of a Gap advertisement they were both working on.
Eventually married in 1986, the former couple had three children, which along with Margaret, 28, also includes son Justin, 37, and daughter Rainey, 33.
They would end up divorcing in 1999 after more than 13 years of marriage.
Along with her roles in the HBO series The Leftovers (2014-2017) and Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood (2019), Qualley’s acting resume also includes The Nice Guys (2016), the FX miniseries Fosse/Verdon (2019), the film My Salinger Year (2020) and the Netflix miniseries Maid (2021).
She currently has no less than four new films in some phase of post-production, such as the surrealist science fiction film Poor Things, starring Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo and Willem Dafoe, among others, that drops on September 8.
Qualley has the lead role in Ethan Coen’s comedy road film Drive-Away Dolls, set to premiere September 28, that also stars Geraldine Viswanathan, Beanie Feldstein and Colman Domingo.
In recent months, she recently confirmed the shoot had picked back up on The Substance, after production was temporarily shut down following the death of star Ray Liotta.
So far there’s no official word on when the body horror film, which also features Demi Moore, will debut.
Qualley is also featured in the anthology film, alongside Jesse Plemons, Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe, Hong Chau, Joe Alwyn, Mamoudou Athie and Hunter Schafer
MacDowell, now 65, is often seen at events with Margaret, who is one of her three children she shares with ex-husband Paul Qualley; the mother-daughter duo are seen in March 2022
Family matters: The budding actress was just five-years-old when her mother cradled her into her arms at the premiere event for Muppets From Space in July 1999, which included MacDowell in the cast
After garnering recognition as a model, MacDowell first made waves as an actress in Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes (1984) and St. Elmo’s Fire (1985),
But she would have her breakout role in Sex, Lies, And Videotape (1989), which earner her a nomination for a Golden Globe Award For Best Actress – Motion Picture Drama.
Her Hollywood credits also include such films as Green Card (1990), Groundhog Day (1993), Four Weddings And A Funeral (1994), Michael (1997) and Magic Mike XXL (2015, among others.
The Gaffney, South Carolina native, 65, has three new films on the docket, including the action-thriller Red Right Hand, starring Orlando Bloom; the romantic comedy The Other Zoey, with Josephine Langford and Drew Starkey; and most recently, the comedy film Goodrich, also starring Mila Kunis, Michael Keaton, Carmen Ejogo and Kevin Pollak.
