The American/Japanese dancer was seen holding a small white pup inside of a dog carrier as the couple made their way out of the fine dining establishment.
Carey and Tanaka initially met in the mid-2000s and he accompanied her as a backup dancer during her Adventures of Mimi tour, which occurred in 2006.
Carey has long been dubbed the Queen Of Christmas by fans for her frenzy of holiday-themed projects but in a new interview with W Magazine, the chart-topping singer explained that it was her ‘messed-up’ childhood which promoted her love of the holidays.

‘I know a lot of the time people are like, ‘Oh, yay! Look at her! She’s, like, so festive and such a Christmas girl,’ or whatever. But, really, Christmas makes me happy,’ Carey explained to the magazine.
‘When you grow up with a messed-up life and then you’re able to have this transformation where you can make your life what you want it to be? That is joy for me. That’s why I want my kids to have everything they can have. I want them to be able to understand that they can be anything they want to be.’
Carey often tries to get her 11-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan, who she shares with ex-husband Nick Cannon, involved in her many holiday-themed projects, which includes appearing together at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City on Thursday, as well as year’s past.

The star made her sparkling return to the 96th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday after a seven-year absence.
The songstress was in her element as she performed All I Want For Christmas Is You to crowds in Manhattan, while clad in a red dress and sparkling tiara.
However, the star, who has landed herself in hot water before for dodgy miming, was again accused of ‘blatant lip-syncing’ as fans noticed her flawless vocals sounded extremely similar to the recorded version of the 1994 track.
One fan wrote: ‘Mariah Carey lip syncing always SENDS me cuz it’s so blatant. Like she doesn’t even try to hide it.’
Another typed: ‘So @MariahCarey don’t sing foreal anymore? Smh’ while a third typed: ‘I wish I could get paid to stand and look cute lip syncing like Mariah Carey … that chick sang not one note.’
