Mariah Carey’s beau Brian Tanaka is ‘ruining her life’

Mariah Carey shocked many when she announced she was parting ways with her power-manager Stella Bulochnikov last weekend.

And now it appears like the 48-year-old diva didn’t make the decision alone, as it’s said her boy toy Bryan Tanaka, 34, was actually the one ‘behind the whole split between Mariah and Stella.’

But since the coup, things haven’t been going as planned with insiders complaining that the back-up dancer ‘knows nothing about managing an iconic artist’ according to Page Six.

‘Bryan believes that he should be the one running Mariah’s day-to-day life,’ the insider explained to Page Six in a story published Thursday.

‘Bryan is behind the whole split between Mariah and Stella,’ the source said, adding: ‘He’s been orchestrating Stella’s exit for a long time.’

The insider continued: ‘No one enjoys working with Stella. There’s no secret that some people are happy she’s out of the picture.’

DailyMail.com has contacted a rep for Mariah Carey seeking comment. 

But while Bulochnikov wasn’t known for her cuddly demeanor, she definitely appears to have been an asset for the Carey estate.

The former TV producer was responsible for the pop star’s VH1 series as well as her recently concluded Vegas residency.  

Carey insiders agreed, telling Page Six: ‘The boyfriend backup dancer definitely isn’t the right person to run her career.’

The continued, saying: ‘He’s definitely no Tommy Mottola,’ in reference to Mariah’s music mogul ex from her early days.

Another source compared the couple to another pop catastrophe.

They told the paper: ‘This is a full-on Britney-and-Kevin Federline situation,’ referencing starlet Spears and her husband of three years.

‘Brian is a backup dancer, and knows nothing about managing an iconic artist,’ the source concluded.

It appears that emotions have gotten the better of the Heartbreaker songstress, however.

Earlier this month, the Russian power manager made a statement about her split with the Butterfly songstress.

‘After working together for almost three years, Mariah Carey and Stella Bulochnikov have determined that it is in their mutual best interest to part ways on day-to-day management,’ it read.

Lately the pop diva’s career has suffered a series of bad breaks and sloppy live acts, starting with what could only be called a meltdown during her Dick Clark’s 2017 New Year’s Rockin’ Eve performance.

After that embarrassment, Mariah was bothered enough by comments about her body to undergo a dramatic gastric bypass surgery, which Page Six reported last Monday.

Their insider explained: ‘Mariah has always been proud of her curves, but [after her residency ended and she went on tour] she noticed it became harder to dance, and she was getting a lot more criticism online from body shamers.’

Her rep Nicole Perna declined multiple requests for comment for Page Six.
