AFL great Mark ‘Bomber’ Thompson has been arrested following raids into alleged drug trafficking on his Melbourne home by police on Friday.
The 54-year-old presented himself to police on Tuesday and but was later released, pending further enquiries, The Herald Sun reports.
A Victoria police spokesperson confirmed a 54-year-old man was arrested and released on Tuesday following last week’s raids.
‘Police have arrested a 54-year-old Port Melbourne man following an investigation into alleged drug trafficking in Port Melbourne,’ the spokesperson said.

‘Detectives from Prahran Divisional Response Unit and Geelong Divisional Response Unit executed a warrant at Port Melbourne on Jan 5.
Detective attended the Rouse Street address at 9.30am on Friday. The man has been released pending enquiries.’

It is not known whether the 54-year-old was present at the time of the raid.
In a statement on Friday, Victoria Police confirmed Divisional Response Units had attended the property.
These teams investigate illegal drug activity (including cultivate, manufacture and traffic) and property crimes.
‘Detectives from Southern Metro Divisional Response Unit and Geelong Divisional Response Unit executed a warrant at Port Melbourne on 5/1/18,’ the statement said.
‘Detectives attended the Rouse Street address at 9.30am (Friday).
‘No arrests were made and the investigation is ongoing.’
It is not suggested Thompson has committed any offences.

Seven reported Thompson arrived at his home on Monday afternoon, but quickly left after seeing the media scrum waiting outside.
Thompson quit his post as coach at Essendon in 2014 after just one season after details emerged of his role in the club’s illegal doping program.
He was fined $30,000 for bringing the game into disrepute.
Bomber curerntly works for Fox Footy as a commentator and pundit.
