Mark Wahlberg reveals the INSANE change he made to his morning fitness routine: ‘No more excuses’

Mark Wahlberg has taken his early-morning fitness routine to an insane new level, revealing that he now hits the gym at 2am rather than 4am.

The actor, 53, made headlines back in 2018 after he shared his grueling schedule online, and it included a 4am workout every morning.

But now, he has upped his game by confessing that he’s started getting up even earlier to exercise.

The Ted alum revealed on Instagram on Sunday that he got to the gym at 2 in the morning so that he could ‘get a head start.’

He documented his intense workout regimen and uploaded to his account, writing, ‘My week starts on Sunday 2am. Get a head start.’

The video began with him lifting up his shirt to the camera to show off his washboard abs.

Then, a series of clips of him working out flashed across the screen; Mark was seen doing pushups, leg presses, and weight lifting, among other things.

In a follow-up video, he responded to people who were wondering what time he goes to bed to be in the gym by 2am.

‘What time do I go to bed? Eight hours of sleep, always. If I’m [up to go to] the gym at 1 that means I went to bed at 5pm. Do the math,’ he said.

The movie star explained that his morning routine usually consists of him praying, taking a shower, and then heading to the gym.

‘That’s happening every single day,’ he added. ‘No more excuses. Get up and get it done. Let’s go.’

Back in February, Mark discussed his vigorous regimen with People magazine, and he admitted that while there certainly are days where he doesn’t feel like getting up early to hit the gym, he ultimately always pushes himself because he ‘doesn’t want to live with regret.’

‘I don’t want to miss something because if, God forbid, I cut corners, don’t show up, don’t put the work in and I don’t get the results that I want, I know why,’ he explained.

‘I don’t want to live with that regret. I always feel better after and I just go and get it in.

‘The hard work that I’ve put in has always been a reason why I have success.’

Mark first spoke about his abnormal schedule in 2018. At the time, he said he would wake up at 2:30am and be in the gym by 4am, working out for over an hour.

Afterwards, he said he played golf for 30 minutes, which he considered another workout, followed by a cryo chamber session.

At 4pm, he would have another one-hour gym session, and at the time, he said he would be in bed about 7:30pm.
