Marlon Wayans joins the growing list of celebrity homes burglarized in LA as he is robbed of ‘thousands in cash’

Marlon Wayans’ $5.3 million farmhouse, located in the celebrity enclave of Encino’s Amestoy Estates, was the latest target of burglars. 

While the 51-year-old actor, best known for starring in White Chicks, was not home during the robbery, his older brother, Keenen Ivory Wayans, 66, was present as two thieves ransacked the estate during the wee hours last Saturday.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the burglars snuck into Marlon’s backyard and ‘shattered a back window’ to gain access to the home.

Although Keenen was reportedly ‘awakened by some noise,’ the insider revealed he ‘didn’t realize what was happening’ and ‘shrugged it off’ before returning to bed. 

Authorities told the outlet that ‘one of Marlon’s staffers returned to the house around 8:00 AM and discovered the place had been ransacked.’

Keenen was also ‘shocked to find out the thieves swiped a safe and several thousand dollars in cash.’

The police have launched an investigation and have already begun ‘scouring the neighborhood for any video footage’ for any leads. 

At this time, no arrests have been made. 

Marlon purchased his home in the San Fernando Valley for $5.3 million in 2022. 

The mansion is complete with a stunning, marble fireplace, marble fireplace, Thermador appliances, a pool, basketball/sports court, a fire pit and more. 

This year, a number of stars have had their properties broken into, including Squid Game star Lee Byung-hun, NBA star Paul Pierce, Kyle Richards’ daughter Farrah and former NBA star Patrick Patterson.

The comedian, who is currently on a national comedy tour, has appeared in a number of comedy films including Don’t Be a Menace (1996), Scary Movie (2000), Scary Movie 2 (2001), Little Man (2006), and Dance Flick (2009).

He and his former partner, Angela Zackery, who he dated from 1992 to 2013, share his two children Kai and Shawn.

He also has a young one-year-old daughter Axl, who he co-parents with ex-girlfriend Brittany Moreland. 

Last year, Wayans opened up about embracing his trans child, Kai, during an interview with The Breakfast Club.

‘I just want my kids to be free,’ Wayans said at the time. ‘I want them to be free in spirit, free in thought, free to be themselves.’

He continued: ‘The more you know yourself, the more you can govern yourself, the more you live your truth, the happier your existence.’
