Marrickville stabbing: Man allegedly stabs brother and mother

A man has been charged after allegedly stabbing his mother and brother in Sydney’s innerwest.

Paramedics were called to Sydenham Road in Marrickville just before 6pm, where they found the two family members with stab wounds near Marrickville High School.

Jackyy Dang, 22, was arrested at the scene and taken to Newtown Police Station. 

His 25-year-old brother was allegedly found with stab wounds to his neck, face, head and back while his 55-year-old mother had allegedly been knifed in the throat. 

Yang has been charged with two counts of cause wounding/grievous bodily harm to person with intent to murder.

The brother was seen with blood pouring from his head as he was taken to an ambulance.

He is now fighting for life at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where the mother is in a serious condition.
