And Married At First Sight cemented itself as the undisputed king of weekend entertainment, after beating fitness show Australian Spartan in the ratings war.
The Channel Nine show raked in a record-breaking 1.5million viewers on Sunday evening, while its Channel Seven rival managed a measly 816,000 viewers across the five capital cities, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Married At First Sight achieved its highest figures in the show’s history on Sunday – after attracting viewers all week with the explosive love triangle between Davina Rankin, Dean Wells and Tracey Jewel.
Meanwhile, Channel Seven’s fitness-based show failed to impress after replacing My Kitchen Rules for the 7pm slot on Sunday.
MKR fans were aghast at the scheduling change, and flocked to Twitter to rant about the replacement.
‘What is this crap,’ one particularly animated social media user posted on Sunday night.

Others followed suit with: ‘Shame #MKR isn’t on tonight instead they’ve got a show called Australian Spartan on. I’m sure all the bogans will enjoy watching that.’
My Kitchen Rules will now run from Monday to Thursday allowing the athletically minded Australians to settle in for a Sunday session with Spartan.
But that wasn’t the only issue Twitter had with the new endurance-based show.

Edwina Bartholomew and Hamish McLachlan came under fire for their apparent sub-par hosting abilities – something also faced during the Winter Olympic Games.
Edwina and Hamish appear to be hot property at Channel Seven, hosting Australian Spartan off the back of their plum roles covering the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.
Social media users poked fun at the fact the hosts now appear to be everywhere, with Sportsbet’s Twitter account sharing a photo of the two.
They wrote in the caption: ‘We’ve got to catch a quick jet to Korea for the closing ceremonies, then fly back to host every other show Channel 7 has.’
