Married At First Sight bride flees to Bali after being forced to defend video in which she appeared to make fun of mental health

Married At First Sight bride Lauren Dunn has departed for Bali amid social media controversy back home.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the PR maven, 32, flaunted her incredible physique in a stunning black bikini in the Indonesian province.

The former bride accessorised the risqué look with a cap and gold jewellery as she enjoyed a swim in her villa pool.

She simply captioned the clip ‘Felt cute, might delete later x.’

Lauren also shared a series of snaps from the trip as she enjoyed a cocktail with friends at a Canggu bar.

The Bali regular previously travelled to the popular island in April following the conclusion of season 11 of MAFS.

The getaway comes after the bride was forced to defend herself on Tuesday after sharing a bizarre clip to social media.

Dunn shared an old TikTok video to her Instagram Stories on Monday in which she appeared alongside fellow bride Sara Mesa.

The pair were seen sharing a laugh beneath audio of a woman’s voice saying: ‘I would check myself into a mental hospital today but I have things to do.’

Dunn, who was paired with Jono McCullough on the reality dating show, took to Instagram on Tuesday to defend herself after receiving backlash over the video.

‘This video was filmed over a month ago during fashion week, as you can tell by our outfits and the fact the original was posted then,’ she said.

‘This was a trending sound and in no way is at a dig at anyone suffering with [mental health issues]. Anyone who knows Sara and I would know this would never be the case,’ she continued.

Days earlier, season nine MAFS bride Domenica Calarco broke her silence after completing a 21-day program at a mental health retreat. It is not suggested, however, that Dunn was making fun of Calarco’s mental health treatment.

Calarco, 31, reactivated her Instagram page on Sunday and offered a lengthy explanation for what she’s been going through in a video which was taken at the facility.

The former bride said she needed the time to ‘heal, reflect and gain a better understanding of herself’ and thanked fans for their support during this time.

Domenica explained how she had ‘spiralled into a deep depression’ over a month ago and ‘couldn’t see a way out’.

The reality TV star said she has learned a lot about herself during the 21-day program and she ‘cannot let things hurt me’.

Domenica vanished from the spotlight following criticism from Bachelor star-turned-podcaster Abbie Chatfield.

The backlash arose after she and fellow MAFS bride Ella Ding hosted controversial groom Jack Dunkley on their podcast, Sit With Us.
