Married at First Sight contestant Madeleine Maxwell has opened up about her short but memorable stint on season 11 of the hit reality show.
The physic medium and actress, 30, bizarrely broke down in floods of tears after seeing a herd of cows during her honeymoon with husband Ash Galati.
During the infamous episode, Madeleine was left devastated when she saw the cows, after eating beef the night before.
Sales manager Ash, 33, was left baffled, admitting he couldn’t understand her emotional outburst.
However on Wednesday, Madeleine explained to Yahoo Lifestyle that she had been a vegan and vegetarian on and off for several years.

She also claimed there was a lot of context removed from the scene, saying it all started after a conversation in the car the day prior.
‘So we were driving down to Slaughterhouse Road. And it came up because, obviously, we’re talking about abattoirs, at the time, I was on medication for my skin and I needed healing happening really quickly. So I was eating meat, not red meat, but meat,’ she told the publication.
‘And so it was a topic of conversation that kind of had me also really aware that I was about to be like, with nature, with cows, and that kind of connection would probably come back up again,’ the actress continued.

Madeleine explained that her emotional reaction was also fuelled by producers, who had only moments earlier asked her about a previous relationship.
The Home and Away actress acknowledged that seeing the cows added to the ‘guilt’ and ‘shame’ she was already experiencing in relation to her ex.
It comes after Madeleine revealed why she never made it to the explosive reunions.

The psychic medium left fans puzzled with her absence during the highly-anticipated reunion, leaving her ex-husband Ash Galati to front the rest of the group alone.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia about the no-show, Madeleine said she simply didn’t ‘align’ with Married At First Sight and didn’t want anything to do with the program after her dramatic exit earlier this season.
‘I chose not to go to the reunion because I did not feel in alignment with the production itself,’ said the former Home and Away actress, cryptically.
‘The production itself was something that was contradictory to what they sell Australia.’
