Married At First Sight cast in hot water with Channel Nine after going ROGUE and breaching contracts

The cast of Married of Married At First Sight have some serious explaining to do after a series of rogue participants defied Channel Nine and created TikTok accounts.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal that Lauren Dunn, Sara Mesa, Eden Harper, Tim Smith, Tristan Black and Lucinda Light are on thin ice for stepping over their contractual boundaries to launch their career as social media influencers prematurely.

It has been alleged the show’s producers are not taking these breaches lightly.

‘This year, the production team has decided to tighten the leash and are not shying away from making an example out of the rule-breakers,’ the insider shared.

‘A stark reminder has been sent out, underlining the gravity of the legally binding agreements everyone has committed to.’

Despite the ruckus, it’s understood that the transgressors have not been threatened with legal action — yet.

However, they’ve been ‘gently reminded’ that such a step is well within the rights of the production team, should they choose to enforce the full extent of their contracts.

Daily Mail Australia understands that several cast members have been stubborn with their response to the network and refused to play ball.

Nine will ultimately have the last laugh, with invites to the prestigious Logie Awards yet to be formally handed out by the network.

Surprisingly, villains Jack Dunkley, and Tori Adams, Golden couple Jade Pywell and Ridge Barredo and Jayden Eynaud were some of the few participants yet to break the social media ban.

Channel Nine are expected to hand the cast back their access next month.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Channel Nine for comment.
