Married At First Sight groom Russell Duance just got introduced as a love seeking single on the latest season of the show. 

And the diesel mechanic immediately whipped fans into a frenzy with fans immediately comparing him to Victorian MP, Dan Andrews. 

Twitter erupted with fans comparing him to the controversial Victorian MP, with the two men sharing similar looks and shaped glasses.

Viewers simply couldn’t get past the comparison to the groom and the politician.

Russell, 37, is a diesel mechanic who is currently based in South Australia.

According to his Nine bio, he is described as a ‘quintessential Aussie larrikin’, with him happy when he’s ‘downing a beer and eating a steak.’   

Russell also has a spontaneous side to him with him previously proposing to a stranger on holidays.   

His Nine bio states, he proposed to a stranger on a holiday in Las Vegas as a joke, she loved the gesture, and they started dating.

Married At First Sight kicked off a new season with an entirely new group of brides and grooms for the series.
