Married At First Sight: Hayley Vernon flanked by producers after Michael Goonan kiss

Married At First Sight will implode next week when Hayley Vernon and Michael Goonan admit to sharing a drunken kiss behind their partners’ backs.

The affair tears both relationships apart, with Hayley’s ‘husband’, David Cannon, and Michael’s ‘wife’, Stacey Hampton, left devastated by the betrayal. 

Daily Mail Australia has obtained exclusive photos documenting the fallout of the incident, which took place during filming in October.

Hayley, 32, looked emotional as she left the Skye Suites apartment complex in Sydney’s CBD on Monday, October 14.

She was flanked by two female producers and ushered into a vehicle in the underground parking lot, before driving off to film a dinner party.

It’s believed she was being kept away from the main lobby, where she may have encountered other cast members. 

Unsurprisingly, David was nowhere to be seen.

Home time? Hayley was escorted into a waiting car on October 14 via an underground exit away from the rest of the cast, which was the week the cheating scandal was exposed

Michael and Stacey were also caught having a fight outside the Skye Suites building on October 7, around the time he kissed Hayley. 

According to an onlooker, they started arguing in the lobby before things spilled out onto the street and Michael walked off alone.

‘They shared a few tense words and then Michael left her, stomped around the block a few times and made a heated phone call,’ the eyewitness said.

Michael confirmed on Monday that he and Hayley had kissed each other in Vanessa Romito and Chris Nicholls’ apartment after a night of heavy drinking.

‘We were all joking and having a laugh. We were mucking around with the phone and were like, “Oh, how funny would it be if this got out?”‘ he told TV Week, adding that the kiss was caught on camera. 

‘We were fully clothed, just being stupid, being loose, having fun, not really understanding the implications of what rumours can do to your life.’

At the time of the incident, Stacey was in Adelaide with her two children.

The aftermath of the affair resulted in heightened security on set because producers feared things could get physical between Michael and David.
