Married At First Sight: Martha Kalifatidis reveals why she uses Kegel balls

Martha Kalifatidis’ Instagram followers spotted Kegel balls on her bedside table in one of her recent posts.

And she has now revealed she’s been using them to strengthen her pelvic floor.

The influencer, 33, told Daily Mail Australia on Tuesday: ‘Kegel balls is a new practice I’m trying out.

‘I am trying to be diligent and “work out” every day as it’s a great way for women to build up pelvic strength after childbirth.’

‘Who doesn’t want a strong pelvic floor?’ the OZ Hair & Beauty partner added. 

‘I’m not ashamed of it,’ she said. ‘I think self-care is a fantastic way to remind yourself that you love yourself [and] a way to reward your body for working so hard for you.’

Kegel balls and exercises can help women strengthen and restore their pelvic floor muscles, according to Kegels.com.au.

Martha also revealed her other favourite intimate product: Pjur Med’s Vegan Glide, a vegan and cruelty-free lube that retails for $30.

‘Every woman should have a water-based lube at home as it can really help with enjoyment and exploration of the body,’ she said.

‘Are those pink balls Kegel balls?’ one fan asked, to which Martha replied: ‘Yeah.’

Radio host Kyle Sandilands asked her when she and boyfriend Michael Brunelli were planning on having a baby.

‘We will eventually. I’m not pregnant but I’m 33 so we have to get a wiggle on. It’s going to happen sooner or later,’ she explained.

Martha and Michael fell in love on season six of Married At First Sight in 2019 and are one of the franchise’s few success stories.
