He’s known for his love of flashy cars, private jets and designer clothing. 

So it came as a surprise to fans when Married At First Sight’s millionaire groom Michael Goonan revealed a glimpse inside his very underwhelming office on Wednesday.  

Posting to Instagram Stories, the 29-year-old businessman filmed himself sitting behind his desk inside a cramped office, captioning the video: ‘Happy hump day!!’

‘Another gorgeous day in the office here… living the dream,’ Michael said, panning the camera around to show the view outside his office window – a warehouse parking lot. 

Looking anything but luxurious, Michael’s small workspace contained a white cube bookcase with binder folders, a laminate wooden table, a desktop computer and even an old-school cassette player. 

A large map was stuck to the wall behind Michael’s desk, alongside four sets of keys hanging on temporary stick-on hooks.

The reality star currently runs his family’s commercial ice distribution business, Adelaide Ice, in Melbourne, having relocated from Adealide to the Victorian capital last December. 

Michael’s father, Michael Goonan Sr., founded Adelaide Ice in the early 2000s and it went on to become South Australia’s largest ice manufacturing business.

The MAFS ‘villain’ is now the managing director of the company, which has offices in Victoria, Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Michael, who is currently dating Married At First Sight bride KC Osborne, is no stranger to bragging about his luxurious lifestyle.

‘When I was 24 I was actually able to afford a property over $1million. It has all paid off,’ he said on the Channel Nine show. 

‘I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have a taste for a couple of watches and shiny toys.’
