Married At First Sight star Lauren Huntriss announces engagement to longtime partner

Married At First Sight star Lauren Huntriss has announced her engagement to boyfriend of two years Wade Burns.

Taking to Instagram, the 35-year-old makeup artist shared the exciting news with her 101,000 followers on Saturday.

‘Today my best friend got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was the easiest yes! I can’t wait to grow old with you,’ she wrote alongside the photo.

In the image, Lauren was pictured smiling with her husband-to-be while flashing her diamond engagement ring. 

Her post was quickly inundated with sweet comments and well wishes from her followers.

‘Today my best friend got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was the easiest yes! I can’t wait to grow old with you,’ she wrote alongside the photo. 

MAFS alum Sam Carraro wrote, ‘Congrats Lauren!!’ while Bachelor star Sogand Mohtat wrote: ‘Aww Lauren! This makes me so happy.’

Wade proposed to Lauren after a romantic trip to the Hunter Valley in NSW just days ago.

Lauren recently shared a sweet tribute to her beau, writing: ‘I may not have found love on @mafs but I always knew that the universe would align me with the right person once I healed and learned to love myself again.’

It comes after Lauren revealed that she has been struggling with a secret health battle.

Lauren shared a series of photos to Instagram of her face and hands covered in red marks.

‘After several years of managing to keep my skin flare-ups at bay they are back in full swing. Yay!’ she began.

‘I know I promised you all a NYE Makeup tutorial but to be honest with you, applying makeup to my skin is honestly the last thing I want to do right now.’

‘I know I’ve said no to a lot of your invitations to hang out lately. The truth is, I start getting ready, I pump myself up… then I look in the mirror and suddenly tears start to flow.’

Lauren continued: ‘I come up with any excuse under the sun to get out of any and every social interaction.’

She explained she is ‘turning her weakness into a strength’ this year and isn’t going to hide her condition anymore.

‘I’m no longer going to hide my condition or waste another day feeling sorry for myself! I have so many reasons to be grateful and I will be putting all of my focus on those things,’ she wrote
