Married at First Sight star’s new wife is arrested for STALKING an ex

A Married at First Sight star who had already started falling for his new wife was in for a rude awakening when he learned that she had been charged with stalking her ex and credit card fraud.

Mia Bally and Tristan Thompson, both 29, were on their way to Cancun, Mexico, for their honeymoon when she was detained at the airport over a warrant that had been issued for her arrest just a few months before.

On Tuesday night’s episode of the Lifetime reality series, a worried Tristan met with one of the show’s producers, who gave him a copy of the shocking police report.

Stunned: Tristan Thompson, 29, was shocked when he read a copy of the warrant for his new wife Mia Bally’s arrest. She was charged with stalking and credit card fraud

Talk about timing: A Married at First Sight producer told Tristan that the warrant was filed the day after they ran a background check on Mia

The producer quickly stressed that the warrant came in the day after they ran a background check on her, but Tristan made it clear that he wasn’t try to blame anyone for what happened.

‘On the warrant that was issued for Mia’s arrest, there are three counts of stalking and one with credit card fraud,’ he told the camera, clearly shaken by what he had been told.

‘I am feeling a sense of disbelieving disbelief as I am reading this police report.’

Dr. Jessica Griffin spoke with Tristan via video chat, and both she and the producer reminded him that he should really speak to his wife to get the whole story.

Tristan and Mia met as strangers at the altar, but he admitted that he was already starting to have strong feelings for his new wife.

‘I was actually really falling for Mia — and falling for her hard,’ he told the camera. ‘Now this document is showing she may be a stalker and may have committed credit card fraud on her previous boyfriend.’

‘This is my worst nightmare,’ he added.

Mia spent two days in custody before she was released, but she insisted that she knew nothing about the warrant out for her arrest.

According to the international airline recruiter, her car was stolen and all of her personal information was in there. She claimed the police said it was identify theft and that whoever stole her car also used her information.

Before she was reunited with Tristan, she talked to Dr. Pepper Schwartz and Pastor Calvin Roberson about the charges, saying they were ‘100 per cent false.’ The show’s relationship experts were understandably relieved to hear her say it wasn’t true.

Tristan was told by producers that all the charges against his new wife were dropped, and while he still had ‘a lot of questions,’ he gave her a big hug when she walked in the door.

While they were sitting down, Mia casually asked to see the warrant for her arrest, explaining that they wouldn’t show it to her because it was a case of ‘mistaken identity.’

Mia first claimed that the name of the guy who filed the complaint ‘doesn’t even ring a bell,’ and then she said she ‘knows of him’ through mutual friends.

‘Why would he go through all this trouble then?’ Tristan asked her. ‘I mean it doesn’t make sense because it says that you ordered a Christmas gift for him with his card.’

However, he chose to believe Mia when she said none of it was true. He didn’t think the charges would be dropped if she had actually committed those crimes.

‘If you say its not true, its not true,’ he told her.

Mia’s explanation didn’t really make a whole lot of sense, and a clip for next week’s episode reveals that she has gotten caught lying to Tristan about something big.

It’s probably safe to say that this won’t be the last time the couple discusses the charges against her.

Earlier this week, Monsters and Critics published Mia’s mugshot after the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana confirmed to the outlet that her ex-boyfriend had filed a complaint against her.

Mia, whose real name is Ameea Janice Bally, was taken to Tarrant County Jail in Texas after she was detained at the airport in March. She had her mugshot taken there, but she was released after Ouachita Parish declined to extradite her.

According to police reports, Mia’s ex boyfriend, Jared Evans, filed two complaints with the police in Monroe, Louisiana in 2017 and two more in 2018.

The two broke up during Christmas of 2016, and in the report from June 2017, he claimed she kept showing up at his home and place of employment.

Two months later, he filed a second report in which he alleged that she was repeatedly calling and texting him as well a showing up at his house.

He filed another complaint on January 4, 2018, this time alleging that Mia texted him via Facebook the day after Christmas to tell him that she got him a gift.

She reportedly got herself an iPhone and two protection plans on Amazon and left him with the $1,455.18 bill, but he was able to recover the money.

The Monroe Police Department issued a warrant for Mia’s arrest on February 6, just a few months before she said ‘I do’ to Tristan. She was detained in Tarrant County in March when they were flying to Mexico for their honeymoon.

It’s safe to say that Mia and Tristan have a lot to work out, and while the other couples’ problems seem mild in comparison, they are still there.

Dave Flaherty, 37, and Amber Martorana, 36, became the first couple to consummate their marriage, which wasn’t surprising considering their instant physical chemistry.

‘Amber and I had sex last night. It had been building up,’ he told the cameras. ‘I think we had both been trying to push back and wait for the perfect moment, and it was awesome.

‘She’s beautiful; she’s got a great body. I mean it was certainly an enjoyable experience,’ he added.

However, Dave was unhappy to find out that Amber dated one of their mutual friends, but he did his best to assure her that she didn’t do anything wrong.

Dave admitted that he would have broken up with Amber if they were just dating, so he appreciated that being legally married forced him to work through his hangups.

Meanwhile, Danielle Bergman, 30, was still smitten with her southern gentleman of a husband Bobby Dodd, 27, but she realized his traditional upbringing may be a bit too traditional for her taste.

The two were discussing how many kids they wanted to have when Danielle noted that she didn’t want to have a child and then wait nine years to have a second.

‘I don’t know if you can have a nine-year-old and then have another one after that anyway,’ he boldly pointed out. ‘You’d be like 39 or more.’

‘My eggs are going to dry up at some point,’ she responded, though it’s unclear if she was offended or actually agreeing with him.

Then he explained that he wanted to be the breadwinner and asked if her she would mind being a stay-at-home mom.

‘I think I would shoot myself if I had to stay at home with children every day,’ she told the camera.

Danielle later brought up her concerns to Bobby, who insisted that they were partners and wanted whatever she wanted.

‘I’m not trying to have this 1950s lifestyle in 2018,’ he assured her.
