Ella Morgan has revealed she almost quit Celebs Go Dating just hours into filming.
The reality star, 29, who became the first transgender bride on the UK version of Married At First Sight UK, was ‘excited’ to have signed up for the E4 show but found that pursuing romance in front of the cameras had ‘triggered’ her.
Taking to Instagram Stories, she said: ‘I’m really excited about this journey, but I nearly quit the other day. It was just getting so much.
‘It was quite triggering. I don’t know what I was expecting. I thought it was going to be a bit of a breeze and a walk in the park.
‘This is definitely more of a solo journey than MAFS. With Celebs Go Dating you’re working out what you do right, what do you wrong, what you need to work on.’

Ella explained that taking part in the E4 dating show is more of a ‘solo’ experience than MAFS but doesn’t want to use her platform to only talk about her transition, which she began at the age of 16.
She continued: ‘This is definitely more of a solo journey than MAFS. With Celebs Go Dating you’re working out what you do right, what do you wrong, what you need to work on.
‘It all stems back to certain things and obviously my transition is a big part of it, but I don’t just want my therapist to talk about my transition, I want to talk about life.’
Ella is being supported by the E4 therapists throughout her journey on the show and although she remained tight-lipped about exactly what had happened, she insisted that is is finished trying to ‘prove herself’ as a woman.
She said: ‘It’s so soon into filming, which is why I’m like ‘woah, what else is to come out? How else am I going to feel about myself?’
‘I think this has all stemmed from the brunch the other day. Obviously I’m not going to go into detail – I’m probably not allowed to and I don’t want to get in trouble.
‘I can’t just spend the rest of my life just working on me.
‘The last year I have been working on myself and finding my happiness but going into dating I’ve realised I do do a few things…I try to prove myself as a woman, as a girl to people and I don’t need to do that anymore…’
Ella is set to be one of the contestants on the upcoming series of Celebs Go Dating, and has maae history as the first trans participant

Ella is the ex-girlfriend of the current Mr. Katie Price , JJ Slater
She concluded: ‘Now I’m going to have to be fully vulnerable and be myself, which isn’t just crazy, loud, fun Ella. I’m obviously a lot more serious and tame.’
Ella has made history as the first transgender participant on Celebs Go Dating, and her time on MAFS famously saw her couple up with JJ Slater, who is the current boyfriend of Katie Price.
Katie was left ‘betrayed’ by Katie when when the ex-glamour model stole her ex and Katie is now said to be nervous about what Ella will reveal.
Other stars who may join the show are Made in Chelsea’s Tristan Phipps and Love Island OG Hannah Elizabeth.
