Married At First Sight UK’s Christmas reunion ‘thrown into chaos as Kasia pulls out’

The Married At First Sight UK reunion has reportedly been ‘thrown into chaos’ as fan favourite Kasia has pulled out of the Christmas special.

According to The Sun, Kasia Martin secretly declined to film the episode to avoid an awkward run-in with her ex Kwame Badu.

The pair split up before the end of the show after Kwame didn’t introduce Kasia to his friends and family, opting to take her to a local park instead.

The last straw for the couple came when Kasia accused Kwame of fat-shaming her, which he refused to apologise for.

A source said: ‘Kasia’s not doing the Christmas Special. She has had enough of the drama and does not want to see Kwame. ‘

‘Kasia’s had enough of the fireworks. She’s put it all behind her now and is focusing on modelling and her business.

The publication also reports that Whitney Hughes and April Banbury will also not return for the Christmas special.

The last reunion for series two cast members was ultra fiery, and after many of the stars predicted there would be the usual arguments, Matt Murray was at the centre of the drama.

Matt couldn’t help wading into a tiff between Sophie Brown and her husband Jonathan Wileman, after it was revealed the couple had split after their vow renewals.

The reunion saw the couples once again fire off questions to one another from the honesty box leading to Sophie and Jonathan having a tense discussion about the demise of their romance.

While the argument continued, at the other end of the table Matt was overheard telling the group: ‘Sophie’s said a lot of things that she won’t say to anyone’s faces and that’s that.’

‘I’m there for Jonathan a hundred percent. I wouldn’t give a f**k about her mate, she’s fake.’

Matt’s ex wife Gemma, who he left for co-star Whitney half way through the experiment, jumped in telling him: ‘Do you want to shut up for one minute, because the sound of your voice is getting really annoying.’

‘Trust me mate, it’s mutual,’ Matt retaliated.

‘Honestly you’re embarrassing, you won’t listen to anyone else’s opinions even though your opinions are so high. You slag people off even though you won’t say it to their face,’ Gemma continued, only for Matt to ask who he had ‘slagged off?’

‘You’re sat there slagging Sophie off. You were saying she’s a fake b***h,’ insisted Gemma to gasps from the group.

Defending himself, Matt said: ‘The words ‘fake b***h’ is not my terminology.’

Commissioning editor for the show, Mel Bezalel, said ahead of the new episode: ‘The latest series of Married at First Sight UK has been a phenomenal success on E4 and All 4; there’s no better way to see out 2022 than a seasonal special with some of our favourite brides and grooms.

‘Married at First Sight is such a unique experience, we’re excited to bring two casts together and see what new connections might form across the dinner table and even under the mistletoe…’

Murray Boland, CPL Productions’ Creative Director said: ‘There’s no better occasion to bring together some of our favourite MAFS UK brides and grooms. Who’s been naughty, who’s been nice… and who is single?’
