Married At First Sight’s Elizabeth wakes up with tangled hair extensions

Rough night? Married At First Sight’s Elizabeth Sobinoff wakes up with tangled hair extensions and no makeup as she has a meltdown after ‘husband’ Sam Ball fled the country

Her ‘husband’ Samuel Ball fled the country the day after their TV wedding.

So it’s no surprise that Married At First Sight’s Elizabeth Sobinoff appeared to have suffered through a rough night as she woke up the next day without Sam by her side.

The 27-year-old had visibly tangled hair extensions after rolling out of bed on Tuesday’s episode of the reality series.

Is that you? Married At First Sight’s Elizabeth Sobinoff was unrecognisable as she woke up alone makeup-free with knotted hair extensions on Tuesday’s episode of the show

She also looked unrecognizable without her makeup on, marking a stark contrast from the heavy foundation, lipstick, and winged eyeliner she usually wears.

As she struggled to get ready for the day, the retail worker became emotional as the reality of being abandoned after her wedding day finally hit.

‘Where the hell do I stand in all this?’ she sobbed. ‘I just wanted to be the princess for once. I don’t know what’s going on.’

‘I am waking up by myself, and today I’m meant to be on my honeymoon with Sam,’ she continued.

‘This is not what I expected to be waking up to. You know? I feel like my wedding was a dream.’

Sam fled to New Zealand after his wedding to Elizabeth, claiming that his ex-girlfriend’s mother had died and he had to support her at the funeral.

Meanwhile, Sam spoke to KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O this week to address rumours he ‘faked’ the funeral to avoid spending time with his new bride.

Host Kyle Sandilands said: ‘We’re just talking about when you got in that taxi to go to the “funeral”. I said that I would also lie and say anything to get out of that situation!’

‘I am shocked,’ Sam replied. ‘I can’t believe everyone thinks it’s a lie. Of course [it’s not a lie].’

The part-time model sounded angry and impatient when co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson asked for proof the funeral actually happened.

‘It was quite an emotional moment, I was even tearing up in front of Elizabeth. It was terrible, it was the worst timing,’ he said.

Married At First Sight continues at 7:30pm on Channel Nine this Wednesday.
