Married At First Sight star KC Osborne emerged on social media for the first time on Tuesday,  after her stint on Celebrity Ex on the Beach came to an end.

And in one of her posts the 32-year-old Australian dancer defended her decision to fly to Colombia to film a reality show during a global pandemic.

‘I’m sitting here in London, but before I get abused for being able to leave the country, and you guys tell me I’m privileged, I’m super grateful to be here, but it is for work,’ she said.

The video was briefly shared to her Instagram stories for several minutes before she decided to delete it.

KC explained she previously tried to leave Australia to attend her late friend’s funeral but was refused.

The reality star went on to tell her followers that she was disappointed to learn that her season of MAFS will not air in the UK, despite previously being promoted.

‘I think my season’s been scrapped and they going straight to the next one,’ she said.

‘That’s so weird because I thought my season was good, but I guess that’s a bit unlucky,’

‘It came out in the pandemic which is a terrible time for a show to come out, but yeah, that really sucks.’

It comes amid reports that KC has been granted permission to stay in London to pursue work opportunities before returning home to Melbourne.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday, a source close to KC said she was ‘very happy’ with how things turned out on Ex on the Beach and she wanted to make the most of being granted a work visa.

It comes as KC’s ex Michael Goonan and co-star also defended his decision to fly to Europe to film the show, amid the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdowns in Australia.

‘It’s time I come clean. Yes, I am overseas. Yes, I did leave Australia,’ he said in a video.

‘Life also gives you opportunities… Did I take advantage of this opportunity? A hundred per cent. Do I regret it? No,’ he added.

Michael explained that while he understands there are people more deserving, he took advantage of the opportunity to travel when it was offered.

He went on to say he is not a ‘missionary or a f**king charity’.

Michael concluded his rant by saying he doesn’t think he is a bad person and that ‘we’re all s***s for the right money’.
