The rare outing came after reports that Jono and Lauren wanted almost nothing to do with each other when cameras weren’t rolling.
‘Lauren didn’t want to spend any time with Jono when they weren’t filming,’ a well-placed insider told Daily Mail Australia.
‘Though they had some really good times, Lauren would often prefer to hang out with friends, watch reality TV and ignore him when he asked if she wanted dinner.’
‘The rest of the cast felt sorry for him, she would barely look up from her phone or even respond when he tried to talk to her.’

Despite producers warning the cast against any ‘catch ups’, Lauren and Sara didn’t have a care in the world as they continued to plan outings together without their partners.
Another source defended Lauren, suggesting a feeling of betrayal from Jono because he ‘hung her out to dry’ at the dinner parties.
‘Lauren absolutely had zero interest in spending more time with him some weekends than was required. She felt betrayed and let down,’ said the insider.
