Married At First Sight’s Rebecca Zemek breaks her silence on THAT video

Rebecca Zemek pulled out of all scheduled media appearances on Monday following her bombshell cheating reveal on Married At First Sight’s reunion special. 

Now the 27-year-old reality TV star has broken her silence about the video that showed her kissing another man while still ‘married’ to Jake Edwards in an interview with 9Entertainment.

‘Looking back at it I can see how one hundred per cent it was a betrayal of trust,’ Zemek admitted.

The MAFS star, who left ‘husband’ Jake in Sydney while rushing back to Perth to take care of her ailing dog Oscar, was revealed to have kissed a mystery man in footage shown during the finale. 

She continued to claim the man was an ex who she had enlisted to transport the sick pooch. 

‘Obviously emotions were high, I haven’t been home in months. We shared kind of like an exciting kiss when we initially saw each other and that was it.’

She continued, ‘It was literally, “Thanks you’re here. Amazing. Let’s do this. Let’s help out” and that was that.’

‘At the time in my emotional state I didn’t see it or think of it as cheating.’

But now, she has changed her tune, conceding, ‘I one hundred per cent would say it’s cheating.’

During the reunion episode, Rebecca was initially adamant the man was her brother, but now claims that was an honest mistake on her part. 

‘The footage went so fast and I didn’t even really know what it was. I thought it was my brother. I had a few visitors come and go I was just so excited to see people and everyone was helping me out,’ she recalled.

‘But when watched back I was like, ‘I know exactly what this is’ so I had to be open and honest.’

She also admitted she and the former flame are still in contact, now that she and Jake are broken up. 

‘That’s all there is and it’s a friendship. Still in contact. As for a future, no. I can’t tell the future but [he’s an] all-around great guy.’ 

Zemek avoided speaking to the press after Sunday’s explosive finale where she was busted kissing an old flame on camera.

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson announced on Monday’s Kyle and Jackie O Show that the reality TV ‘villain’ has ‘pulled out of all of her interviews after what happened last night’.
