Married At First Sight’s Tracey Jewel is back after mental health break

She took a lengthy hiatus from the spotlight to focus on her mental health following a suicide attempt in late June.

But Married At First Sight’s Tracey Jewel is back, with the reality TV star recently filming a new ABC series and recording a radio advert for Perth’s Brain Wellness Spa.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia on Friday, the 35-year-old said that she is using her public platform to spread awareness around mental health issues.

‘I’m doing mental health initiatives, such as ABC’s new show Let’s Talk Now, and TV and radio ads for the Brain Wellness Spa in Perth,’ she said.

The mother-of-one shared a photo from the set of Let’s Talk Now on Friday, billing it as ‘an amazing new show for women’ in an Instagram post.

In the image, one of the show’s hosts can be seen holding up copies of Tracey’s self-help books, Don’t Mess With The Goddess and This Goddess Means Business.

Tracey is currently working on her next book, telling Daily Mail Australia that it will be released ‘early next year’.

At the end of June, Tracey was left ‘stranded’ in Berlin without money for a flight home after splitting with her boyfriend Patrick Kedemos during a European holiday from hell.

In a moment of desperation, the mother-of-one tried to kill herself by ‘overdosing’ on medication.

Thankfully, the talented star is doing much better after spending time in a mental health facility in Perth last month.

Earlier this year, Tracey became one of the most talked-about women in Australia when she was involved in a love triangle on Married At First Sight.

She was paired with Dean Wells on the ‘social experiment’, but was left blindsided when he had an ‘affair’ with fellow contestant Davina Rankin.

In the months after the show aired, however, Tracey emerged as one of the series’ most controversial and divisive contestants.

She later said that she suffered PTSD after doing MAFS, and that cyber bullying from trolls and negative media attention left her broke and unemployed.

‘Everyone’s cancelled their contracts with me. Any way I had of earning an income has disappeared,’ she told Who magazine in August.

She’s now living back with her parents and has applied to study a post-graduate certificate in marketing to get her once thriving career back on track.
