Maryland woman accused of deliberately mowing down her boyfriend with a car and killing him

  • Udele Burno, 38, was arrested and charged with deliberately striking and killing her boyfriend,  Shamatto Clarke, 40, with with her car, officials say 
  • She was charged with vehicular manslaughter with no bond status
  • The incident happened on August 20th when officers from the Prince George Police Department found Clarke pinned underneath the vehicle.

A 38-year-old Maryland woman is charged with deliberately mowing down her boyfriend with her car and killing him, officials said.

Udele Burno, 38, was charged with vehicular manslaughter in the death of her boyfriend, Shamatto Clarke, 40, of Riverdale. 

She remains in custody with no bond status, according to a news release from the Prince George County Police Department. 

Burno has had a rap sheet of domestic violence charges going back to 2005, Crimeonline.com reported.

Clarke was employed with the Department of Defense. He was from Westmoreland, Jamaica and lived in Washington DC, according to his Facebook page

The horrifying incident took place on August 20 around 8.45pm at 6100 block of Floral Park Road in the Brandywine, Maryland area, located approximately 22 miles from Washington, DC, according to the news release.

Police were notified after someone called them to tell them that a person was trapped under a car. 

When officers from the Prince George County Police Department arrived they found Clarke pinned underneath the vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

According to the victim’s Facebook page, Clarke was employed with the Department of Defense. He was from Westmoreland, Jamaica, and lived in Washington DC.
