An Aussie rules club has taken the opportunity to show their mascot’s name sake as rain flooded their field.
The Port Douglas Crocs AFL Football Club posted a photo to its Facebook page of their crocodile mascot relaxing on the flooded field, which has managed to trick some people online.
Some people thought it was a Photoshop job.

‘Hmmmm. The croc has a shadow and the footy poles don’t. Not a very good Photoshop. Not that this couldn’t happen in PD (Port Douglas) but this is as false as they get,’ one user wrote.
The club was quick to inform the user that the picture was by no means photo shopped.
Some maybe took the photo to seriously.
‘What are those idiots doing in the water?’ another user wrote while tagging The Darwin Awards.

While others saw the image for what it was, the mascot of the club, a fake crocodile, being placed on the field for an interesting photo opportunity.
‘New full forward,’ a user wrote.
‘Give him 2 white flags and leave him there,’ another added.
