MasterChef Australia’s most mysterious contestant Sue Bazely breaks her silence after fans were left confused by her bizarre edit

She’s become known to fans as the ‘mystery woman’ on Channel 10’s MasterChef Australia.

And contestant Sue Bazely has now shown viewers she can have a laugh at her own expense.

The 58-year-old customer manager from Victoria has created her own ‘Who is Sue?’ hashtag on her social media.

Sue was dubbed the ‘mystery contestant’ after frustrated viewers noticed that they were not seeing much of her so far this season.

A long time MasterChef fan herself, Sue has not featured in the edits of challenges and her bio has not been shown.

Her apparent absence tested the patience of some viewers who took to X to ask ‘Who is Sue?’

‘Has she been here this whole time?!,’ another asked, while one fan joked: ‘Is Sue the MasterChef intruder?’

Sue appears to have seen the whole ‘mystery’ controversy as a bit of a storm in a cup by signing her posts on Instagram with her freshly created ‘Who is Sue’ handle.

She even shared a series of ‘mystery woman’ headlines to her social media, which was shared to Reddit by a fan who captioned the post: ‘Sue is such a sport.’

Meanwhile, Sue featured prominently this week on the cooking contest.

And in a bizarre twist some fans appear to have taken ‘credit’ for Sue’s ‘new edit’.

‘So much Sue. WTF is going on?,’ exclaimed one fan and continued:

‘Do you reckon the editing team have gone back to edit Sue into an episode after everyone had no idea who she was, even after 4 weeks?’

Married for 33 years, Sue has been a MasterChef fan for many years and is raring to take on the challenge herself.

Having worked on her own handwritten cookbook for 42 years, she dreams of getting the epic collection of upwards of 170 recipes published.
