MasterChef’s Matt Preston indulges in cocktails and schnitzels as he enjoys a trip to Bali after he sensationally quitting Dancing with the Stars
MasterChef Australia star Matt Preston is enjoying a relaxing holiday after he quit Dancing with the Stars.
Preston, 61, shared a series of photos from his holiday on the Indonesia Island of Nusa Lembongan, including one photo of him soaking up the sun at the beach.
‘Feet up, on the Sandy Bay beach at Nusa Lembongan…nice now the rain has stopped!!!’ he captioned his post.
The foodie also shared with fans the variety of meals and drinks he’s enjoyed so far on his beachside vacation.
‘From Moscow Mules made with fresh ginger juice and schnitzel with the fattest capers to giant beers and Balinese Nasi Campur then diving with mantas rays and Pies on the telly in a sky-high dive bar with great homemade spring rolls and a view of Mushroom Bay,’ he added.

It comes after Preston sensationally quit Dancing with the Stars after suffering an ankle injury on the first day of training.
Sunday night’s episode saw Preston withdrawal from the competition after he and his partner, Jessica Raffa, failed to impress the judges with their second performance to Brian Ferry’s Let’s Stick Together.

Preston placed in the bottom two alongside AFL legend Gavin Wanganeen and partner Megan Wragg.
But, just as he was meant to do a dance-off, the famed chef announced he was forfeiting.
‘I’ve loved everything about this but my ankle is cooked,’ he began.

‘I can’t dance again tonight. So what I want to do is to concede and give the win to Gavin and to Megan who did brilliantly today.’
Host Daryl Somers replied: ‘Ok this… we’ve never had this happen.’
‘Look we might get a comment from our judges if um, given the situation…’

Craig Revel Horwood added that he thought Preston was making the best decision based on the circumstances.
Preston damaged a tendon in his ankle just minutes into his first rehearsal.
‘My immediate reaction was, “Oh, I can’t do it now,”‘ he told TV WEEK.
The food critic announced that was joining dancing competition in May.
‘Time for something totally new and way out of my comfort zone,’ he wrote on Instagram, along with a promotional video for the series.
Dancing With the Stars returns Sunday at 7pm on Channel Seven
